Jake Witt to speak at Forest Park, West Iron County Schools

CRYSTAL FALLS — The Jake Witt presentation at Forest Park and West Iron County that was originally scheduled for early March and was postponed because of weather-related school closing has been rescheduled.
Witt will be presenting to Forest Park students on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. and to West Iron County students at 1:30 p.m. on May 21. Both presentations are being sponsored by the Iron Area Health Foundation.
Witt is a graduate of Ewen-Trout Creek High School. He played football at Northern Michigan University and was the first U.P. native in over 30 years to be drafted by the NFL when he was a 7th round draft pick of the Indianapolis Colts.
Witt has a bachelor of science degree in applied exercise, science and health. He is a certified nutrition coach, certified personal trainer and is a certified tobacco interventionist.
Jake will be speaking to the students about:
— The dangers of vaping, its negative effects on your physical and mental health;
— Strategies for stress management and coping strategies;
— The importance of proper nutrition;
— The role of exercise in living a healthy life;
— General health and wellness tips to support a healthy life now and in your future.
