Fourth of July parade entries due today

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Lake Antoine Park Partners have announced applications for the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Independence Day parade are due today. Forms are available at lakeantoine.org or at any local First National Bank.

This year’s theme is “Christmas in July.” Parade will kick off at 9 a.m. on the Fourth. The route will remain the same as in past years, it will start on Woodward Avenue, turning onto Carpenter Avenue and right on East H Street, ending in front of the VA hospital.

Patrons are asked to not to let your children gather on the road, especially near the turns. They also ask the community, for safety reasons, to avoid driving through or placing chairs by the staging area.

Parade participants are instructed not to throw candy until the official start on Woodward.

In place of a grand marshal this year, LAPP will utilize the space to honor the Menominee Range Museum Promotional Committee for its six years of volunteer service in organizing the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Independence Day Parade.

Starting at $3.50/week.
