Music, games and more at Niagara Lions event June 27-28
NIAGARA, Wis. — The annual Niagara Lions Club Community Picnic will take place Friday and Saturday, June 27-28, at Heights Park in Niagara.
Festivities kick off at 4 p.m. Friday with the opening of the park.
The bean bag tournament begins at 5:30 p.m. Anyone interested in taking part can register at 4 p.m.
Safe Sax, featuring Michael Prusinsky of Port Washington, Wis., on sax and vocals, will begin performing at 7 p.m. June 27.
On Saturday, June 28, the park grounds will open at 11:30 a.m.
Kids can enjoy the bounce house starting at 1 p.m.
At 2 p.m., the community parade will step off, followed by the coronation of Miss Niagara at 3 p.m. and First Lady and Mr. Niagara at about 4 p.m. at the park.
Winners of the special fireworks cash raffle will be announced at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 each or three for $20 and are available for purchased at area businesses. They will be drawing for 17 cash prizes. Winners do not need to be present.
Local variety county band 141 North will take stage at 7 p.m. to entertain the crowd for the evening.
The fireworks display will begin at dusk.
A variety of food and refreshments will be available for purchase both days at the park.
