Next Myle plays Thursday in Norway

NEXT MYLE

NORWAY — Music in the Park continues Thursday as the Iron Mountain-based band Next Myle performs for the third concert of the season. The free summertime music series will start at 7 p.m. at the bandshell in downtown Norway.

Next Myle was formed in 2003. The original members included: Paul Quello, Bill Bice, Kristen Nordine, Kevin Fraker and Darwyn Aberly. Although the personnel has changed from time to time, the group remains dedicated to their goal of providing some of the best entertainment around. They strive to get folks “dancing in the street” and enjoying their music.

The band’s following has grown steadily, and they perform regularly at a number of regional events including FlivverFest, Hodag Festival, Niagara Lions Club Picnic, Auburn Parks Association Picnic, and many more. Next Myle performs a mixture of classic rock music, and they’ll bring a fun show to the band shell .

“We hope folks that come into Iron Mountain for this week’s ‘Out to Lunch’ concert with Datura will enjoy the afternoon, have a nice dinner in the area and come on down to beautiful Band Shell Park in Norway for our third free performance of this summer’s fabulous series,” MIP Program Director Greg Hunt said.

An enthusiastic audience came to the Crossroads Alliance Church on June 19 as the second Music in the Park concert of the 2025 season took place. CJo and The Groove Show was an audience pleaser, and it was great to welcome them to Music in the Park.

Some seating is available at the shell but those taking in the performances can bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the music. Again this year, Main Street from Eighth to Ninth streets will be blocked off for more seating space.

Restrooms will be available in the upper level of City Hall, which will be open for each performance. For additional information, see Music in the Park on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Norway-Music-In-The-Park.

In case of inclement weather, concerts will be at the Crossroads Church (Grace Methodist/Bethany Lutheran) on Odill Drive, behind the Norway Historical Museum on the east edge of Norway.

Music in the Park is grateful for the financial support they have received from several organizations, businesses and individuals this year, without whom this concert series would not be possible.
