Elizabeth Janczewski

ARMSTRONG CREEK, Wis. – Elizabeth A. Janczewski, 77, of Armstrong Creek, passed away on Friday June 20, 2014, at AGI Healthcare Center in Crandon.

She was born on March 27, 1936, in Fence to Edward and Katherine (Moller) Thomas.

Elizabeth graduated from the Florence High School in 1954. She married Benedict Janczewski, on Nov. 27, 1954, in Armstrong Creek.

She had a love for people. Besides raising her children, she was a caretaker, helping those in need. She enjoyed baking, cooking, playing cards, Yatzee, but her real love was socializing.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Ben of Armstrong Creek; children, Ben (Lisa) of New Concord, Ohio, Kathy (Dale) Rein of Brampton, Frank (Natilie) of Armstrong Creek, Julie Janczewski of Goodman, Wis., Annette (Greg) Peterson of Quinnesec, Joe (Laura) of Armstrong Creek, Tom (Karen) of Carver, Mass., Jeannette (Bob) Baffile of Iron Mountain, and Bob (Christine) of Armstrong Creek. She is further survived by 25 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Sherman of Iron Mountain and Verna Moddie of Armstrong Creek; and two brothers, Pat (JoAnne) Thomas of Armstrong Creek and Walter (Doris) Thomas of Norway.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin daughters Cheryl and Carol; a grandson Barry; one brother Bill; and four sisters: Martha, Marion, Ruth, and Lorraine.

Funeral services for Elizabeth will be held today June 24, at 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Armstrong Creek.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Monsignor Paul Koszarek will officiate.

Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in Armstrong Creek.

The Weber-Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
