Patricia A. Barnard

IRON MOUNTAIN — Patricia A. Barnard, 74, of Iron Mountain, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Maryhill Manor in Niagara, Wis., following a challenging experience with brain cancer.

She was born May 7, 1943, in Lansing, daughter of the late Jack and Alice (Hellyer) Dally. Pat was raised in Lansing, which is where she met her husband, Duane Barnard. The couple enjoyed 54 years of marriage and an incredible life together. They raised four boys, Danny, Kevin, Tommy and Tony. Pat was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was gentle, kind, good-hearted and was committed to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

Pat and her husband Duane were the first couple trained by Bob Ross (Yes, the funny haired guy on PBS). They operated art galleries in Aurora, Wis., Green Bay, Wis., and Door County, Wis., where they literally taught thousands of people the “joy of painting.”

Pat was also an accomplished quilter and maker of all things yarn and thread. She was a fixture with Duane at craft shows. Pat’s quilts are also found and used proudly all over.

All this said, she was simply Pat or mom to all of us. We love her. Yet we know one thing. She is now with Jesus. We place everything in this promise.

Private family services were held at Maryhill Manor.

Her family wants to thank all those who have prayed for her.

You may light a candle in remembrance of Pat or leave a condolence for her family online at www.jacobsfuneralhomes.com.

The family has entrusted the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain.
