Gloria Angeloff

IRON MOUNTAIN — Gloria Angeloff, 37, of Iron Mountain, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, losing her long battle with addiction. She was born April 4, 1981.

Gloria never wanted to be defined by her mistakes or addictions; she was so much more than that. She was an intelligent beautiful woman who grew up in a Christian home with a great support system. She always had a hug and a heartfelt “I love you” for friends and family. She was feisty and energetic, always ready to help anyone in need. She would have wanted to help others by sharing her story of this horrific epidemic in our area.

Gloria did not want to be an addict and entered rehabilitation several times. She had dreams and fought hard to battle her demons of drugs and alcohol.

Addiction doesn’t discriminate; it takes hold and destroys anyone in its path, including families and people who love them. Addiction hides in the faces of everyday people all around us.

Regrettably, Gloria will be remembered by some only as a statistic. But those who knew her will remember her as daughter, sister, family member and treasured friend.

She is survived by her parents, Kent and Linda Angeloff of Iron Mountain; sisters, Heather (Pete) Valiska of Wausau, Wis., and Ellen Calkins of Algoma, Wis.

Private services will be held.

Condolences may be sent to N. 4093 U.S. Hwy. 2, Iron Mountain, MI 49801.
