MARTIN M. HERZOG

IRON MOUNTAIN — Martin M. Herzog, devoted husband, father and grandfather “PaPa,” entered his eternal sleep Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, with his family by his side.

Martin was born April 7, 1960, to Marlin and Marlene Herzog. He grew to love tinkering in the garage working on vehicles, camping with family and traveling. He was an avid motorcycle rider, who often rode with the VFW for Toys for Tots and Services. He enjoyed being on a motorcycle on a long open road with the sunshine and wind blowing on his face.

Martin was a hard working man, diligent in taking care of his family. He always had a heartwarming smile, a laugh that was contagious and the biggest heart you would ever see.

Martin is survived by his wife, Cleo Herzog; his children, Daisy (Herzog) Castor, Eric Herzog; his grandchildren, Alexander, Makayla, Desarae and Victor; five siblings, brothers: Vince and Ed; sisters: Linnea, Lisa and Brenda; and many other family members.

A celebration of Martin’s life will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27 at City Park (N Park Road) in Iron Mountain.
