Paul Colavecchi

Paul was an avid sports fan. He coached area youth baseball teams for many years and always enjoyed watching sporting events with family and friends.

He was an avid music fan, and enjoyed listening to all types of music. He loved watching his father play the accordion and enjoyed listening to live bands throughout the area.

He loved spending holidays with family, especially the Fourth of July, celebrating his birthday, and Thanksgiving to watch the Detroit Lions game with his sons and grandsons.

He is survived by his mother, Betty (Hoagland) Colavecchi; siblings, Frank (Margaret) Colavecchi and Tammy Colavecchi (Kevin McGeen); his sons, Chris Colavecchi and Kevin Colavecchi; his loving grandsons, Giovanni Colavecchi, Michael Colavecchi, Joseph Colavecchi and Matthew Colavecchi; his niece, Angela Mabie (Christopher); and nephew, Tony Colavecchi.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Biaggio Colavecchi in 2016 and Dorleen Zebel in l962.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21 at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Kingsford. Fr. Michael Woempner will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.

Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in his memory.

The family would like to say thank you to Dickinson Neurology Associates and Iron County Medical Care Facility for the support, guidance and loving care they provided to Paul and his family.
