Eunice Elaine Silverstone

EAU CLAIRE, Mich. — Eunice Elaine Silverstone, 81, of Eau Claire, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019.

She was born on May 19, 1937, to the late William and Helen (Oman) Silverstone. She married Reuben Arvid Skogman on June 4, 1955, at Zion Lutheran Church in Metropolitan. He preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 1967.

She was born and raised in Calumet Mine (Breen Township) and moved to Foster City after being married. She also lived in the Iron Mountain/Kingsford area before moving to Eau Claire, where she lived with her daughter, Teresa and son-in-law, Michael for the past eight years.

Eunice was a devoted Christian. She loved the Lord and her family very much. She was very proud of her grandsons and great-grandson and loved them more than anything. She also had a very special relationship with each of her siblings. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking their favorite foods.

She also enjoyed watching football. Eunice will be deeply missed by her family.

She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy (Keith) Carlson of Vulcan and Teresa (Michael) Demski of Eau Claire; three grandsons, Korey (Valerie) Carlson of Goodman, Wis., Justin Carlson of Vulcan, and Michael Christian Demski of Eau Claire; and one very special great-grandson, James Korey Carlson; two sisters, Mavis (Donald) Woods of Spokane, Wash., and Cheryl Fontana of Spokane; one brother, Donald (Bobbi) Silverstone of Gladstone; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her sister Arlene Inez Hirn.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 30 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Norway. Funeral services will immediately follow at the church, with Rev. Dr. Michael J. Langlais officiating.

Final resting place will be at the Felch Township Cemetery in the spring.
