Molly Kate Marshall

She was born April 13, 1989, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of Francis and Sarah (Wernecke) Marshall.

Molly graduated from Kingsford High School in 2007 and went to college at Eastern Michigan University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education. She was currently working on her master’s in educational leadership and had a teaching position within the Shawano School District in Wisconsin.

Molly enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, friend, cousin and niece. Molly had a passion for life and recently went skydiving. She will be sadly missed by all that loved her.

In addition to her parents, Molly is survived by a sister, Richelle (Elena) Esquivel of Arlington, Texas; five uncles, Robert “Bob” Marshall of Iron Mountain, Tim Marshall of Niagara, Wis., Greg (Betty) Marshall of Hartsel, Colo., Steven (Nancy) Wernecke of Darien, Ill., and Randall (Marya) Wernecke of Naperville, Ill.; two aunts, Susie (Fred) Nowack and Tina (Kevin) Van Ginkel; and many cousins.

Molly was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents; and a sister, Megan Marshall.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.

A memorial service will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rev. Geri Hamlen will officiate.
