Elayne Marlett

Elayne was born on Aug. 4, 1924, in Menominee, daughter of the late Lawrence and Ethel (Bell) England. She was a graduate of Iron Mountain High School. Elayne married Melvin Marlett and together they raised their family in Iron Mountain.

She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school at the church for many years. Elayne was an excellent homemaker and always the matriarch and caregiver of the family. She took great pride in being a wonderful cook and housekeeper.

Elayne is survived by her son, Larry Marlett of Iron Mountain; grandsons, Joseph and Melvin Marlett; and great-grandchildren, Meredith and Claire.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; her son and daughter-in-law, James and Sandy Marlett; brothers, Donald, Delbert and Ted England; and a sister, Faye.
