Darcy A. Kowalkowski

Darcy was born Dec. 21, 1960, in Iron Mountain, daughter of Roy and Elaine (Richter) Johnson. She graduated from Iron Mountain High School and was a lifelong resident of the area.

Darcy worked at T&T Supper Club in Aurora, Wis., as a waitress/hostess for 25 years as well as a florist for Fredrick’s Floral and Econo Foods. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Darcy was passionate about her horses and enjoyed horseback riding as well as reading, crocheting, sewing, baking, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Elaine Johnson of Kingsford; four children, Tony Kowalkowski (Robyn Prevost) of Aurora, WI, Dustin (Becky) Kowalkowski of Oshkosh, WI, Andrew Kowalkowski (Kathleen Ciantar) of Aurora and Laura (Matt) Bowler of Wallace; eight grandchildren, Autumn, Justin, Taylor, Morgan, Jacob, Ayden, Adrianna and Abel; two brothers, Russell (Mickie) Johnson of Iron Mountain and Nick (Dana) Johnson of Holt; several nieces and nephews, including Jeremy and Michael Bouche of Marquette, and Carolee Hurtado of Camarillo, Calif.

Darcy was preceded in death by her father, Roy Johnson; sister, Wendy Bouche; brother, Jeffrey Johnson; grandparents, George and Mabel Richter; and an uncle, David Richter.

The family will be having a private service in celebration of her life.
