Janice Opsahl

Janice was born Aug. 17, 1937, in Sagola Township, daughter of the late Arvid and Ruth (Rein) Mackie. She graduated from Kingsford High School in 1955 and was a life long resident of the area. Janice was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary.

She loved her trips to the casino and spending time with family

She is survived by her husband, Robert; her son, Pete Vicenzi of Iron Mountain; her daughter, Tina (Dave) Beaudoin of Kingsford; six step-children, Brenda (Aaron) Krans, Gregg (Linda) Opsahl, Tom (Gail) Opsahl, Rick (Audra) Opsahl and Chris (Joe) Mitchell; three grandchildren, Michelle Grailer, David (Stephanie) Beaudoin and Nicole Vicenzi; three great-grandchildren, Alec, Austin and Aubryna; a brother, Roger (Sharon) Mackie; a brother-in-law, Jim Opsahl; a sister-in-law, Barb Mackie; 15 step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and 1 step-great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas Vicenzi; a son, Nick Vicenzi; two brothers, Richard and James Mackie; a sister, Linda Bastian; and a step-daughter, Lisa Mack.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
