James M. Brinker

IRON MOUNTAIN — James M. Brinker, 78, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, at Freeman Nursing Home in Kingsford.

He was born Oct. 19, 1940, in Flint.

James worked at the Ford plant in Detroit for many years. When he married Aleta Kropp he was a tax accountant for the city of Charlevoix and then for the city of Iron Mountain.

He was a loving father who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching football, especially the Detroit Lions. More than anything, James loved his grandchildren.

James is survived by his wife, Aleta; a son, Clayton J. Chambers; a daughter, Anita Kay (Carl) Melberg; grandchildren, Jessica, Jordan (Jamie), Christopher and Alexander; a sister, Nancy; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.

Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Kevin Sullivan will officiate.
