KINGSFORD — Eunice Elizabeth Glaser, 96, of Kingsford, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019, at ManorCare Healthcare Services in Kingsford. She was born May 24, 1923, in Gwinn, daughter of the late Earl and Pearl (Morgan) Nye. Eunice was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Kingsford high school in 1942.

She worked in the office of W.D. Cochran freight line right out of high school and later worked at Monette’s IGA and Hancock Wood Products. She married Alfred Glaser on May 18, 1946, at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. They celebrated 70 years of marriage prior to Alfred’s death on May 25, 2016.

Eunice was a longtime member of American Martyrs Church and Saint Barbaras Circle. She enjoyed cooking and teaching her granddaughters how to cook her specialties: ravioli, lasagna, pasties, etc. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially ceramics.

Eunice was a kind and loving individual and always put others first in her life.

She is survived by her children, Sally (Gerald) Payette, Alfred “Gus” (Gail) Glaser, Don (Sandy) Glaser, and Sue Chartier, all of Kingsford; nine grandchildren, Lori (Daryl) Linnert, Lisa (Josh) Villringer, Jessica (Dan) Langston, Eric (Kristin) Glaser, Julie (Andy) McConnell, Tammy Payette (John Anderson), Tracy Payette (Heather Crosslan), Nick (Julie) Johnson, and Carissa Poupore (Randall Kleicamp); and 21 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by special friends, Lee Milbow, Paul and Carol Villringer, and Janet Schafer.

Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Glaser; daughter-in-law, Pamela Glaser; son-in-law, Dean Chartier; and one sister, Leola Sweig.

Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2 at the Kingsford Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. Father Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.

Pallbearers will be: Nick Johnson, Tracy Payette, Eric Glaser, Daryl Linnert, Josh Villringer, and Andy McConnell.

Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery.
