Ronald A. Schwark

He was born Sept. 7, 1950, in Daggett, Mich., son of the late Elmer and Laura (Rockstad) Schwark. Ron grew up and was raised in Jam Dam and Bark River. He married Joan Hull on Oct. 28, 1972, at United Methodist Church in Hermansville. Ron worked for Walechka Excavating in Jam Dam for many years.

He enjoyed many hobbies, including hunting, fishing, feeding deer, turkeys and birds, but most of all he enjoyed making maple syrup.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Joan of Hermansville; one son, Steven (Michelle) Schwark of Hermansville; one brother, James (Jean) of Madison, Wis.; one sister, Ramona (Jim) of lower Michigan; three grandchildren, Jordan Kosiba of Kingsford, Dakota Schwark and Sierra Schwark, both of Hermansville; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by six brothers, Elmer, Norman, Daniel, Donald, Lauren and William; and by four sisters, Bess, Eva, Carol and Kathy.

In accordance with Ron’s wishes, private family services will be held.
