IRON MOUNTAIN — Carol M. Lauzon, 78, of Iron Mountain, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020, at ManorCare Nursing & Rehabilitation in Kingsford.

She was born Aug. 28, 1941, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Nick and Mary (Antinori) Famiani. Carol was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain and a graduate of Iron Mountain High School, Class of 1959. She married Roy Johnson in 1959 in Iron Mountain. She then married Lionel Lauzon on Oct. 20, 1989, in Iron Mountain.

Carol worked for 10 years at Americana Nursing Home in Kingsford, as a nurses aide. She and her husband Lionel then managed The Integrity House in Iron Mountain for many years, until she retired in 2003.

Carol enjoyed watching football on TV, traveling to the casino, watching her son as a member of the National Guard march in many of the local parades, and especially the time spent watching her sons play football for Iron Mountain.

Survivors include her loving husband of 30 years, Lionel Lauzon, Iron Mountain; two sons, Russell (Mickey) Johnson, Iron Mountain, and Nick (Dana) Johnson, Mason; two daughters, Shawna (Lee) Lauzon, Iron Mountain, and Stephanie (Jim) Schuls, Florence, Wis.; one brother, Ray Famiani, Kingsford; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by one son, Jeff Johnson.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.

A Celebration of Life will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
