Gary E. “Twiggs” Grierson

Gary was born on Jan. 14, 1950, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Thomas and Inez (Freeman) Grierson. He had been a resident of Iron Mountain and Kingsford, graduating from Kingsford High School in 1969. He moved to Green Bay in 1995.

Gary was a caring person and had many fond memories of being with family and friends at “Grama’s Camp” in Iron Mountain.

Gary had worked for the Chicago and North Western (CNW) Railroad; was a bartender at Mayme’s Bar in Iron Mountain for 15 years; and also worked for Englewood Marketing Group and Georgia-Pacific Paper Mill in Green Bay.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents and brothers, Allen Tim and Pat Grierson.

He is survived by his nephew, Lee Grierson of Juneau, Alaska; sister-in-law, Mollie Grierson of Shishmaref, Alaska; niece, Frieda Grierson of Shishmaref, Alaska; aunts, Edna (Freeman) Dennis and Donna (Freeman) Legault, both of Iron Mountain; along with numerous cousins including a special cousin, Kathryn (Dennis) Jakopovich of Green Bay.

A memorial will be held for Gary at a later date.
