Janet “Sis” A. Larch

KINGSFORD — Janet “Sis” A. Larch, 85, of Kingsford, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital in Iron River.

She was born April 13, 1935, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Shefchik) Couveau. Janet married Irving Larch on Oct. 24, 1952, in Waukegan, Ill. They resided most all of their life in Kingsford, where they raised their family. He preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 2009. Janet was an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kingsford.

She enjoyed numerous hobbies including, gardening, spending time outside in the yard with her dog “Baby,” feeding the birds, listening to music, crocheting in her younger years, giving haircuts to her friends and family, loved to decorate her home and was very creative at it, going to rummage and yard sales with her husband along with St. Vincent De Paul, storytelling about the many good times she had working in the garage with her daddy, looking forward to the Couveau Family Reunions, and her greatest gift was the pure unconditional love she had for her family.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie (Steve) Antonissen of Washington State and Brenda (Jodi) Larch of Florence, Wis.; two brothers, Joseph (Sandy) Couveau and Jeff (Barbara) Couveau, both of Republic; six sisters, Joan Witte of Iron Mountain, Jean Mosley of California, Nancy (Don) Antonetti of Iron Mountain, June Mackus of Chicago, Judy (Joe) Valente of Marquette, and Amy (Bill) Dale of Grand Ledge, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Jamie (Jacob), Justin (Alyssa), Jacilyn (Steve), Austin, Donica (Jeff), Kirsten, and Aaron (Kat);10 great-grandchildren, Bret, Marcus, Trevor, Kelsie, Giana, Natalie, Lilly, Chase, Michael, and Nathan; one great-great-granddaughter, Audrey; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Janet’s wishes, private family services will be held.
