Jesse Tolbert

He was born Nov.29, 1991, in Iron Mountain and was a lifelong resident of the area, attending Iron Mountain High School and graduating in 2016.

In his all-too-brief time with us, Jesse touched many lives, through his love for family, loyalty to friends, his sense of humor, generosity, and beautiful free spirit. He believed there was more to the world than what we can see, and that all things and all people are connected. He was open-minded, thoughtful, inquisitive, and nonjudgmental. He was also passionate about music, loved to read, and was a huge fan of New Orleans Saints football.

Always thinking of others, Jesse’s final gifts were realized by honoring his wish to serve as an organ donor.

Preceded in death by grandmothers, Etta Margaret Morgan and Dolores Tolbert, he is survived by his mother and father; siblings, Jason Wilson of Singapore, Angela Wilson and Jamie Wilson of Iron Mountain; his son, Liam; nephews, Blake and Carter; niece, Safiyah; uncles, Robert Morgan and Steve Morgan of New Albany, Ind.; grandfather, Robert Morgan of Springfield, Mass., and many, many friends.

A private family service will be held at a later date, while a Celebration of Life gathering is scheduled for July 15.
