Walter Haupt

PEMBINE, Wis. — Walter “Wally” Haupt, 80, of Pembine, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021, from ongoing heart issues, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.

He was born Jan. 15, 1941, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Bernard and Helen (Dzick) Haupt.

The youngest of six children, Wally grew up in Pembine, Wis. and continued to live there until his death.

Walter worked as a heavy equipment operator for 35 years and enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing guitar, singing and his family. The last eight years of his retired life was spent running karaoke shows at local venues with his girlfriend Sandy Jonet.

Wally is survived by Sandy as well as his three sons, David, Ken and Robert Haupt; eight grandchildren; and a huge extended family. He will be missed by many.

In accordance with Walter’s wishes private family services will be held.
