Peter G. Koelbl

RANDVILLE — Peter G. Koelbl, 74, of Randville, passed away on July 20, 2021, at Clement J. Zablocki Veteran’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

Pete was a jack of all trades. From truck driver to laborer. He retired from Aspen Lumber of Sagola in 2009. He enjoyed being out in the woods, reading, listening to country music, helping his family and friends whenever possible, and spending time with his four-legged best friend, Jake (before his passing in 2018).

Pete is survived by his three children, Delores “Dee” Cuggino (Koelbl) of Norway, James Koelbl of Norway, Kari Koelbl of Lake Linden; one brother, William Koelbl of Aurora, Wis.; two sisters, Ruth Koelbl of Norway and Rebecca Luke (Kirk) of Randville; three grandsons, Michael Massicotte of Laurium, Dakota (Sahvanna) Massicotte of Clovis, N.M., Quinton Lambert of Calumet/Lake Linden; three great-grandchildren, Kendall and Kaydyn Massicotte of Laurium, Madizon Massicotte of Clovis; and many nieces and nephews.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, William and Delores Koelbl; a brother, James Koelbl, and a sister, Louise Koelbl.

Military graveside honors will take place at the Quinnesec Cemetery on Friday, July 30, at 3 p.m. The Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50 will conduct the honors assisted by the United States Coast Guard.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at both the Oscar G. Johnson VA of Iron Mountain and the Clement J. Zablocki VA of Milwaukee, for all they did for Peter over the last five and a half years.
