Jeanne E. Hendricks

NIAGARA, Wis. — Jeanne E. Hendricks, 94, passed away on Feb. 4, 2022, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.

She was born on April 14, 1927, in Baraboo, Wis., the daughter of Oscar and Arlie (Shaw) Isenberg. Jeanne graduated in 1949, with a BS degree from Lawrence University in Appleton Wis.

On July 21, 1951, Jeanne married Kenneth Hendricks. Jeanne was an art teacher in Niagara Schools for many years, retiring in 1981. In her retirement Jeanne enjoyed traveling, gardening and crafting. She was an accomplished painter, seamstress, knitter and basket-maker and shared her many creations with family and friends.

Jeanne was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school and served on the Altar Guild, contributing to the beauty of the church through her many wall murals.

Jeanne is survived by two children, Greg (Sandy) of Niagara and Kathy of Madison, Wis.; three grandchildren, Neil (Jenny) Hendricks, Ryan Hendricks and Morgan Merline; six great-grandchildren Kody, Riley, Kobe, Jack, Lexi and Nevaeh; brother-in-law James (Nyna) Hendricks; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen (Gordon) Heberlein; brother, James Isenberg (Nona); in-lawsm Elizabeth (Eldon) Becker, Commodore (Janet) Hendricks, August (Madeline) Hendricks, Henry (Lydia) Hendricks, Joyce (Dwayne) Smith , Ruth (Jesse) Phillips, Marjorie (John) Burbey.

The family would like to thank the staff at Maryhill Manor for their care and support. A special thank you to Lynn and Bill Burke and Gina and Steve Langsford for taking care of Mom; your kindness will never be forgotten.

Memorial services will be held at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home on Saturday, April 23. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m., with services following.
