Robert Dewayne Fayas

He was born Oct. 6, 1947, in Iron Mountain. He was raised in Kingsford and graduated from Kingsford High School in 1966.

Robert was a Marine, who served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1969.

He was also a diesel mechanic for 20 years with Cummins Diesel in Iron Mountain.

His hobbies included working outside with his tractor, mechanics and woodworking, fishing, volleyball, swimming, boating and spending time with his pet dog “Baby.”

Robert is preceded in death by his father, Mark Mose Fayas and wife Joan Fayas (Spigarelli).

Left to treasure his memory is his mother, Marjorie (DuFresne) Fayas of Kingsford; sister, Judy (Fayas) Dixon of Iron Mountain; daughter, Nikki Upton (Joseph); sons, Robby Fayas (Sarah) and Kevin Fayas (Jennifer); and grandchildren, Ayden Eaton, Maddison Fayas, Joshua Upton and Jacob Upton; nephews, Rick, Justin, and Joe Wittock.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
