Karen Rosenburg

Karen was born to Adam and Betty Smokovitz. She graduated from Iron Mountain High School and then went on to two years of college. She then began working at the Intermediate School District, where she remained for many years in the Head Start program.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Betty Smokovitz; and her son, Cray Powell.

She is survived by her loving husband, Russell Rosenburg; her children, Terrie (Chris) Reilly and Mary (Jason) Byrnes; and two grandchildren, Trinity Byrnes and Orin Brynes.

She is also survived by her three sisters, Sandy Worley, Debbie Bautista and Lona Lesser; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration Of Life from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, at the Ever After Event Center in Kingsford.

In lieu of flowers, Karen requested people bring a centerpiece for a table at the celebration.

The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home for cremation arrangements.
