Louis Charles Occhetti

WAUKESHA, Wis. — Louis Charles Occhetti, 92, of Waukesha, passed away Aug. 30, 2023. He was born in Kingsford on Sept. 17, 1930, to Alfred and Josephine (Paulson) Occhetti. He grew up in Breitung Township, attending the Kingsford schools. He graduated from Kingsford High School in the Class of 1948 and immediately joined the U.S. Navy, which was in the process of the Korean War. Upon leaving the navy, he married the love of his life, Patricia Mary McCarthy, the daughter of Raymond and Esther McCarthy of Niagara, Wis.

Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Patty; his parents; and one grandson, Steven.

He is survived by his two children, Michael, and Mary (Block); grandchildren, Kali, Brandon (Kimberely), Paul (Kristin) and David; and great-grandchildren Charles, Oliver, Lola and Winnie Ann.

Louie was also survived by two sisters, Carol and Bonita (Woolard); and three brothers, Armand, Alfred and Gordon (Linda).

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. John Neumann Parish in Waukesha.

Louis was laid to rest at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha next to his beloved.
