Maxine Verville

1938-2024

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Maxine Verville, 86 of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Aug. 15, 2024, after a brief illness.

Maxine was born on June, 29, 1938 in Iron River, the daughter of the late Clarence and Violet (Menghini) Verville. She was a member of the National Honor Society, and graduated with the Iron River High class of 1956.

Maxine continued her education at the U of W Parkside in accounting. Maxine’s career started as an accountant, but after several years changed careers. After passing several tests, she received her certificate and became the administrator of a Catholic nursing home for 25 years.

Later moving to San Antonio, Maxine was the chief accountant for numerous restaurants on the River Walk. Maxine was a wonderful, loving sister and a cherished aunt, who was deeply loved by her nieces, and nephews, Teri, Lisa, Stephen, Robert, Dana, Jason, Justin, Kirsten, Brock, Troy, Jeff, Micheal, and Joanna.

Maxine was a devout Catholic. She not only said she was a Christian, but lived her life helping and caring about, not only family, but of all people. She was a proud liberal and Democrat.

She was also preceded in death by brothers, Scott, Martin, David, and sister Lynda. She is survived by her sister, Marlene; brother, Geron (Claudia); and sister-in-law, Katherine.
