Patricia Totsch

CRYSTAL FALLS — Patricia Ann Totsch, 93, of Crystal Falls, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at her home on the Paint River where she spent the last five years to be close to family and friends.

Pat was born June 26, 1931, in Wabeno, Wis., daughter of the late Leon and Jeannette (Pfannenstiel) Conklin.

She graduated from Pius XI Catholic High School in Milwaukee, where she was the first prom queen of that school. Pat was a hard worker from an early age, having numerous jobs and owning several businesses. She owned and operated the Round Lake Marina in Hayward, Wis. for several years prior to moving to Crystal Falls in the late 1970s. There she owned and operated the Hogan Shop and the Video Shop in Crystal Falls.

Pat also worked on a survey crew where she traveled across the United States surveying fiber optic lines. Eventually she moved to California where she helped run the bar and restaurant at Ham’s Station in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Pat spent 25 years in California, most of which she was a ranch hand, raising cattle and sheep on the Wait Ranch with her partner, Eldon Wait.

She loved horses, flowers, spending time at camp on the Net River, fishing, and taking pontoon boat and side by side rides. Pat was a talented artist, creating shell art in Florida for her family and friends. More than anything, she enjoyed time spent with family and coffee with Jacki.

Pat is survived by her children, Ann Berard (Jack), Nancy Hadley, Susan Hadley (Dan Kivimaki), James Hadley and Thomas Hadley (Julie); a brother, Thomas Conklin; a sister, Dorothy Sawvel; her grandchildren, Jason, Jenny, Zach, Brandon, Graham, Ashley, Aaron, Sam, Sydney, Sarah, Jacob, Jessica and Paige; and 26 great-grandchildren who she remembered at all times.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, F. Michael Hadley and a brother, James Conklin.

Celebrations of Pat’s life will be held at her favorite places throughout the summer: the Paint River, the Net River, the Wait Ranch and in Hayward, Wis.

Condolences to the family of Patricia Totsch may be expressed online at www.nashfuneralhome.net.
