Ruth E. Geer
FENCE, Wis. — It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ruth E. (Berklund) Geer, beloved mother, dedicated nurse, cancer fighter and survivor, and cherished friend, who left us peacefully in the morning of Oct. 22, at the age of 69.
She was born on Jan. 25, in Cottonwood, Idaho, and spent her life bringing love, care, and compassion to all who knew her.
A devoted mother of three, Ruth instilled in her children a sense of kindness, perseverance, and strength. She was their rock, always providing a listening ear, a warm embrace, and words of wisdom. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and her legacy as a mother will live on in the hearts of those she raised.
As a dedicated neonatal nurse, Ruth dedicated her career to caring for newborns and their families. Her compassion and expertise made her a trusted figure in the healthcare community. Whether comforting a worried parent or offering expert care to a tiny infant, she was known for her selflessness, her professionalism, and her unwavering dedication to those in her care. Her impact on the lives of the families she helped in our community will be remembered for years to come.
Throughout her life, Ruth was a woman of great faith, gentleness, creativity, and integrity. She made lasting connections with everyone she met and was always ready to listen, offer words of encouragement, or sit silently in solidarity. Whether spending time at her home in Virginia or traveling across the country or across oceans, she cherished the simple joys of life and treasured her moments with family and friends.
