Donald Solda
CHICO, Calif. — Donald F. Solda, 72, of Chico, Calif., passed away on March 28, 2025.
He was born to Bruno and Millie (Hallgren) Solda. He attended school in Norway and graduated in 1970.
He enlisted in the Navy and was assigned to a battleship in California for four years, visiting numerous ports of call around the world.
Don loved California and decided to call it home after the Navy. He attended Chico State University earning a degree in horticulture.
He lived in numerous cities in California and ended up in Chico.
Don is survived by one daughter, Teresa (John) Eggleston of Chico; his mother, Mildred (Millie) Solda of Vulcan; and a sister, Nancy (Michael) Steeno of Vulcan; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bruno; and his daughter, Sara.
He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by anyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
A private family service will be held.
