Gerry Duff

Gerry was born May 19, 1953, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Eugene and Eleanore Duff.

She graduated from Kingsford High School in 1972. She spent several years with the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department as their head cook.

Gerry enjoyed bingo and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Her vibrant personality brought smiles to the faces of everyone she met, and she never missed the opportunity to say hello to any one in her presence.

Gerry is survived by her two children, Melissa (Joe Seever) of Kingsford and Michael (Jodee) of Lacey, Wash.; sisters, Violet Bongi of Phoenix, Ariz. and Susan Piatti of Iron Mountain. Gerry was the proud grandmother of Cody Green, Tara Green (Brent Schupp), Kaci Seever, Austin Seever, Collin McDonald, Morgan (Mauricio Stewart), and Chance (Eva) McDonald, Derrick Roberson, and Xander Roberson. She was also the proud auntie of Tammy Bolster (Bob Wells), Jennifer Bongi (Watus Cooper), Toni Strutz, Danny Gustafson (Theresa), Rebecca Gustafson, Christina Gustafson, and preceded in death by nieces, Shiree and Jody Kienitz, and nephew, JD Kienitz. Gerry was also the great grandmother of 6 beautiful children.

In addition to her parents, Gerry was preceded in death by her sisters, Laurie Duff, Nancy Kienitz, Cindy Gustafson, Gayle Strutz, and Pam Martin.

A celebration of life has been planned for later this year, which will be announced by the family at a later date.
