Terry J. Johnson

Terry was born on Dec. 21, 1953, in Iron Mountain, son of the late John “Jack” and Beverley (Bourassa) Johnson. He lived most of his life in Granite Bluff surrounded by a loving family.

Terry graduated from Kingsford High School in 1972. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army National Guard for six years. He graduated from Ferris State University with a degree in diesel heavy equipment.

Terry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cutting wood. He was an avid NASCAR fan and cheered for the Detroit Lions, reveling in their wins over the Packers. He retired from Road Machinery and Supply where he had a career in mechanics.

He is survived by his daughter, Stacey and her children. He is further survived by his siblings, Judy (Dave) Sielaff and Scott (Sue Mahony); nieces, Amanda (Dan) Krznarich and their children Lucy and Jack; and Betsy Sielaff. All of his Johnson cousins were very special to him, especially Bill, Mike and Ward.

Preceding him in death were his parents, paternal grandparents, Amos and Olga Johnson and maternal grandparents, Clifford and Caroline Bourassa.

His family would like to thank the ICU and Hospice Care staff at Aurora Bay Care for their compassionate care.

A private service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his memory.
