Powers Printing powered through power outages

Bouquets and Barbs

Bouquet: Thank you to the staff at the Powers Printing facility in Powers who had to deal with three power outages this week but still managed to get both newspapers out each day. Their perseverance over these obstacles so our readers got a paper as expected is much appreciated. Also, thank you to our subscribers for their understanding when these power outages delayed delivery.

Family appreciated help from all at Randville Grill

Bouquet: Thank you to the Randville Bar and Grill, 911 Dickinson County, Iron Mountain State Police troopers, Integrity Care EMS, Nordic Ambulance and all the people visiting Randville Bar the night of Nov. 22.

Thank you to the bar for having a defibrillator, those who helped him out of the car, held a flashlight, the women who started compressions, the man who prayed or those who gave silent thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for all you did. Our family is so very grateful for your compassion and acts of kindness. Bless you all!

Dickinson chorus put on a ‘wonderful’ concert

Bouquet: What a wonderful Christmas concert the Dickinson County Community Chorus and Children’s Chorus presented for the packed crowd Tuesday. We certainly have a lot of very talented people in our area. I just wanted to take the time to let them know their hard work and many hours of practice were very appreciated. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Thanks to customers for clearing path for delivery

Bouquet: Now that we have some snow and ice on the ground, I would like to thank all of our Daily News customers for keeping a path clear of snow and ice for the paper carriers and drivers to deliver the paper. For customers in our rural areas, thank you for cleaning out the area around your tube so the driver can drive up and put your paper inside it. Winter is probably the most challenging time of the year, with the days being shorter and cold weather bringing snow and ice. On behalf of myself, our carriers and our drivers, we appreciate your help in keeping them safe. Thank you.
