Patient praises DCHS for care, professionalism

From Larry S. Unrein, Iron Mountain:
I have been hearing a lot of gossip — key word being gossip — about the care given at our local Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. Comments like, “Take your service elsewhere, because they don’t know what they are doing or they don’t take very good care of you.”
I recently had an industrial accident and was taken to the hospital here. From the time I hit the emergency room until I was released the following day, the service was excellent.
I had to stay overnight for one night and the fact that it was an older hospital had nothing to do with the care I received. From the E.R. nurse to the lady who took my breakfast order, they were pleasant and professional.
A special thanks to Dr. Sarah Venditti for the exceptional work and thanks to all the staff for their professionalism.
