M&M Community Foundation donates to Haven of Hope
Bouquets and Barbs
Bouquet: Dorothy’s Haven of Hope homeless shelter received a $3,500 grant from the Impact Fund for COVID-19 Relief held at the M&M Area Community Foundation. The board of directors of the Community Foundation established this fund in March to help nonprofits whose resources have been strained by the coronavirus. The foundation seeded the Impact Fund with $25,000. Additional donations were made to the fund by community members throughout Marinette and Menominee counties.
Dorothy’s Haven of Hope will use this grant to pay for heat, electricity, water, telephone, food and monthly bills to help us stay open this winter, since all of our summer fundraising was canceled due to the pandemic. Shelter staff and residents are grateful to receive this grant.
