Appreciated care at Dickinson hospital
Bouquets and Barbs
Bouquet: My grandfather came up from Chicago in 1923 and built our summer home in Spread Eagle. The family through four generations has continued to spend their summers there.
To date, I am not aware of any instance where we needed to use the Dickinson County Hospital, until recently. Over the Memorial Day weekend, I needed emergency care, resulting in a four-day stay at the hospital.
I cannot express enough how impressed I was with the care provided by the entire hospital staff — in particular, Dr. Huth, Dr. Spear and the entire nursing staff — including the food service staff.
I am aware of some of the recent challenges the hospital has had to deal with and hopefully those are manageable. DCH is an important asset to the community if it wishes to grow and prosper. Hopefully the entire region surrounding Dickinson realizes this asset that they have available to them.
Though I don’t expect to have to use DCH in the future, it is nevertheless comforting to our family that a facility of this quality is available if needed.
