Young, tall Badgers begin Monday
NIAGARA, Wis. — The young Niagara Badgers start the girls basketball season Monday.
The Badgers return five letter-winners in Maddie West, Ki’Ericidy Hannah, Allison Wells, Jasmine Racine and Cassie Gill. However, five sophomores and a freshman make this a young team.
Height and speed are strengths of the Badgers, according to Coach Karl Lamoreaux. Five girls stand at least 5-feet-10.
“We also have a strong work ethic,” said Lamoreaux, assisted by Miranda Cretton and Ryan Allred.
Niagara graduated leading scorer and All-M&O Conference first-teamer Sarah Nawn.
The Badgers finished 2017 with 14-10 overall and 9-9 conference marks.
