Hockey: Flivvers fall to Macomb Dakota, 7-1
TRAVERSE CITY — Macomb Dakota scored three first-period goals and defeated Kingsford 7-1 in high school hockey Friday.
The Flivvers (6-8) ended a seven-period scoring slump after the Cougars (10-4) had pulled ahead 4-0 in the second period. Trey Bociek scored for Kingsford, with assists from Carter Kreski and Reece Fortner.
Macomb added three goals in the third period.
The Cougars outshot the Flivvers 40-11. Trevor Anderson and Ian Anderson played in goal for Kingsford.
Kingsford and Lake Orion will meet this morning. The Flivvers play at Marquette on Tuesday.
