Softball: Flivvers, Knights split
KINGSFORD — Kingsford’s Emily Curtis doubled three times in a five-hit day and the Flivvers split a softball doubleheader with Norway, losing the first game 10-9 and winning the second 13-3 at Lodal Park.
“Emily had a great night offensively,” said Kingsford Coach Kevin Murdock. “Maggie Strehlow hit a solo home run into a real tough wind.
“I thought offensively we executed very well. We will keep working on the defense.”
In the opener, Norway scored three runs in the top of the seventh to rally from a 9-7 deficit.
A seven-run third inning triggered Kingsford in the second game.
