Hometowne Athletes: Baseball, track stars recognized

IRON MOUNTAIN – Four athletes were named the March and April Hometowne Athletes of the Month.

Iron Mountain’s C.J. Bolo, Kingsford’s Olivia Allen, North Dickinson’s Masyn Alexa and Niagara’s Landen Kaldor were given the monthly awards.

Bolo is slashing .385/.433/.385 (batting average/on-base percentage/slugging percentage) with 12 RBIs and 11 runs scored.

Allen collected four first-place finishes in two meets in the 200-meter dash, 400, long jump and 1600 relay.

Alexa led the Nordics with six first-place finishes in two meets. She took firsts in the 100 dash, 200 dash, 400 run and was second and fourth in the triple jump.

Kaldor is hitting .531 on the season with seven RBIs, 13 runs scored and just one strikeout. Kaldor is slashing .531/.595/594 on the year with a 1.189 OPS.
