IRON MOUNTAIN — Iron Mountain’s Colleen Redding will continue her athletic career at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Colleen Redding recently signed a letter of intent to play hockey and volleyball. The daughter of Christine Redding of Iron Mountain and Michael Redding of Florida plans to pursue a nursing degree at Concordia.

Redding, a 2019 IMHS graduate, played hockey for the 19U Petoskey Northmen team that reached the nationals in Amherst, NY.

“Colleen is a gritty true defenseman who plays the game with passion,” said Petoskey Coach Jim VanAntwerp, who was unable to attend the signing. “She has a strong net front presence. Not fancy but hard to play against in both her own zone and at the opponents blue line.

“It was a pleasure to be able to coach her through last season, states and nationals. I’m looking forward to watching her game continue to grow at the college level.”
