Forest Park boys win third game of the week

CRYSTAL FALLS — A third game of the week proved to be a good thing for the Forest Park boys basketball team, who are now on a three game winning streak. after defeating Superior Central 60-40 in Skyline Conference action.

Head coach Kurt Lehmann and his team moved to 3-2 on the season and were led in scoring by Keall Emmers with 20 points, including four three pointers.

“Definitely a little tired after last night so a little slow start, but got it going and hit some shots. Keall shot well which helped get us going and it was good to get everyone playing time,” Lehmann said.

Tommy Showers added 13 points and Daniel Franz chipped in 10 points for Forest Park in a game that was makeup from Dec. 12.

The Trojans have a quick turnaround when they host non-conference foe Kingsford on Monday night at the Eddie Chambers Gymnasium.

On Thursday, the Trojans travel to Munising to face the undefeated Mustangs in SCC action.
