UP Hall of Fame banquet postponed
HARRIS– The annual UP Sports Hall of Fame Induction Banquet scheduled be held on May 9 at the Island Resort and Casino has been postponed, due to health public health concerns of COVID-19.
The banquet is now scheduled for Friday, Aug. 21, at the same location.
Tickets are available for purchase from Hall of Fame Committee members Mike Caruso and Terry Duval of Iron Mountain, by calling Mike at 906-774-1918, or Terry at 906-286-1371.
Former Northern Michigan University women’s basketball standout Julie Heldt-Wonders of Iron Mountain is one of this year’s 10 inductees.
