Kingsford announces MVPs, honors senior athletes
KINGSFORD – A virtual 2019-2020 Kingsford High School athletics award program was broadcast on Tuesday evening.
Principal David Holmes and Athletic Director Chris Hartman, as well as fall and winter season coaches, participated in the virtual program.
Dennis DalSanto, Kingsford Athletic Booster Club president, also appeared, offering words of encouragement and a thank you for the outgoing senior athletes.
The program honored all the participating seniors in each sport, as well as the team MVPs. Also awarded by the Flivvers athletic department is an award for the top female and male senior athletes.
The top male senior athlete selection for 2019-2020 was Eddie Cardew, who participated in football and wrestling. The top female senior athlete selection was Brooke Kriegl, who participated in volleyball and basketball.
Hartman noted a special thank you to Nick Gayan for organizing and putting together all of KHS virtual programs this spring, including the sports awards program. Hartman also offered his appreciation and thanks to the booster club for its support to athletics and also to the community.
