The Illinois High School Association has taken a different approach than its neighbors to the north, in Wisconsin and Michigan, as far as the fall high school sports season goes. In particular, football, boys soccer and girls volleyball are being moved to the Spring of 2021.

Well, luckily for them, in 3/4 of their state or more, playing football in the spring will be feasible. Unlike some of the areas in Michigan and northern Wisconsin who get six to seven months of snow.

Milwaukee Brewers first baseman/DH Logan Morrison, who joined the Crew this off season, made light of baseball being played in empty stadiums in a sarcastic way. When interviewed by Milwaukee Journal he said “For me, it’s not going to be that difficult. I played for the Rays and the Marlins.”…

Thursday afternoon, U.P High School Football All-Star game organizer Todd Goldbeck stopped at Iron Mountain High School to drop off gear to the Iron Mountain, Norway and Kingsford All-Star game players.

I was there to snap some photos that will be published in the coming days. Goldbeck, whose wife is a Gwinn native, made a loop all the way around the U.P. with his family to hand out the 2020 game gear.
