Bobcats, Patriots, earn Northern Lakes Conference victories

THREE LAKES, Wis. — Behind four players in double figures, led by sophomore point guard Evan Johnson with 17 points, Florence cruised past Three Lakes 66-54 Tuesday night in Northern Lakes Conference boys basketball.

Dominic DeMuri chipped in 14, while William Kelley and Braden Boettcher each canned 12 points.

“Tonight was a solid win for our program tonight. Three Lakes is tough and athletic,” said Florence head coach Bryan Bomberg. “We knew going into this game we were going to have to be smart with the ball and just as tough. I was proud of my guys for sticking to our game plan and keeping the focus.”

Bomberg credited DeMuri for being solid in key moments down the stretch, hitting huge free throws. Patrick Milan and Blake McLain rounded out the scoring for Florence with eight and three points, respectively.
