KINGSFORD — The Marquette varsity boys soccer team suffered its first loss in 29 games, dating back to 2019, falling 1-0 to Iron Mountain on Tuesday at Commemorative Field in Kingsford.

“We controlled the ball well and had many chances but Iron Mountain had a solid game plan to beat us,” said Marquette coach Dan Salmon.

After a scoreless first half, Iron Mountain scored from a throw-in to take the win.

The Mountaineers will host Ironwood on Tuesday.
