Forest Park introduces 1,000-point scorers to Mark Nylund Memorial
CRYSTAL FALLS — Forest Park High School held a ceremony on Jan. 28 to introduce and congratulate the 17 Trojan basketball players who scored 1,000 or more points in their Forest Park careers. With that accomplishment, the players earned the honor of induction into the Mark Nylund Memorial 1,000-Point Club. Nylund played basketball and football for the Trojans in the 1980s and was well known in the Iron County community as a physical therapist and an athletic trainer, and in many other ways. The Forest Park Sports Boosters, with the help of Nylund’s family, recently created the club, and it is now displayed on the walls of the Eddie Chambers Gymnasium at Forest Park schools.
