Congdon, Lundholm pace Flivvers at Dale Phillips Invite

MARQUETTE — Senior Ethan Congdon and sophomore Joey Lundholm turned in the best times for Kingsford at the co-ed Dale Phillips Invitational on Sept. 1 in Marquette.

Congdon ran a 19:49.4 to finish 16th overall in the boys race, while Lundholm finished with the same time but placed 17th in a tiebreaker.

Other Kingsford boys competing were senior Michael Mulligan (20:58.4 for 26th) and sophomore Joshua Cameron (25:00.2 for 55th).

Because the Flivver boys only had four runners, they did not qualify in the team results.

Junior Alaina Kowalski was next up with a 27:43.5 for 41, sophomore Taylor Olsen ran a 31:50.2 sophomore Lily Villringer recorded a 32.55. The full name of the fifth Kingsford runner was not reported on the Superior Timing website. The Kingsford girls finished eighth in the team standings.

Ishpeming junior standout Lola Korpi won the girls individual title in a time of 20:51.2. The Redettes won the team title with 27 points with Houghton second at 40.
